In order to implement the Beijing Action Plan of "Science and Innovation China", guide the deep integration of "government, industry, academia, research, application and finance", and help the capital city's biomedical industry to develop with high quality and innovation, Beijing Neuroprosthetics Industry Collaborative Consortium held the first conference of the 2024 Industry Collaborative Promotion on Feb. 5 successfully. The first conference was successfully held on February 5, 2024 by Beijing Neuroprosthetics Industry Collaboration. The meeting was held in the New Media Center of Neuroprosthetic Industry Innovation Center located in Shougang Park, and leaders and experts from the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Peking University, Tsinghua University and other units as well as representatives of member units of the scientific and creative consortium attended the meeting. With the theme of "Gathering Intelligence to the Future", experts and scholars at the conference carried out in-depth exchanges on the promotion of synergistic development of neuroprosthetic industry, accelerating the transformation of achievements, and constructing an alliance platform.
Cui Jing, deputy director of Innovation Service Center of Municipal Association for Science and Technology (Municipal Association for Science and Technology), delivered a speech, emphasizing the positive role of the collaborative consortium in enhancing the independent innovation capacity in the field of nerve repair, and put forward three working views, first, integrating into the work of Municipal Association for Science and Technology and giving play to the organizational advantages; second, smooth the upstream and downstream of the industry and promoting the collaborative innovation; and third, deepening the work of the consortium and establishing the service mechanism.
Xu Huafeng, Director of the Synergy Consortium, mentioned in the report that medicine and health and new-generation information technology are the "twin engines" supporting the future industrial development of Beijing. In the face of the urgent needs of life and health and disease treatment and rehabilitation, the Synergy Consortium will liaise with and integrate the scientific research and clinical resources of Beijing and related regions to carry out clinical trials and application and promotion of innovative projects in the field of neural repair. It will set up a special investment fund to support innovative projects, build a cooperation platform, and promote the coordinated and integrated development of the industrial chain, innovation chain and talent chain.
Liu Haisheng, deputy director of the Preparatory Committee of Beijing Neural Repair Industry Innovation Center and director of Shouyi Medical Brain Center, introduced the current status and trend of scientific research in the neural repair industry, and revealed that the center will undertake the task of technological breakthroughs and innovations in the field of neural repair, and will become the initiator, organizer and implementer of the research and development of neural repair technology and industrial cooperation.
At the conference, the cooperative consortium and Beijing Nanshan Investment Co., Ltd. also launched the "Guangxin Shan - Wings of the Wind" charitable trust, with the first installment of 2 million dollars to provide support for research, advocacy and education for autistic children's assistance programs. Professor Zhang Rong, the project leader and co-founder of the Autism Research Center of Peking University School of Medicine, delivered a speech on "Building a better future for autism groups with technology and love", popularizing "autism" to the guests and introducing the team's scientific research direction and current achievements. She called on the whole society to give more understanding, tolerance, support and help to the autistic children's assistance work, so that the autistic children can stand out bravely and share a better social life with us.
At the meeting site, Prof. Zhang Rong and the initiator of Neural Repair Industry Science and Innovation Collaborative Consortium, Mr. Wang Yu, Chairman of Beijing Darwin Cell Biotechnology Co., Ltd, Mr. Wang Feng, Chairman of Beijing Nansun Investment Co., Ltd, Mr. Che Zhijun, Chairman of Beijing Mobile Internet Health Service Association and other guests jointly launched the "Guangxin Shan - Wings of the Wind" charitable trust, and the meeting ended with applause. The meeting ended with the applause of all the guests.
