On January 11th, at the Darwin team's New Year's party to welcome 2025, a grand donation ceremony was held, in which Darwin shareholders and strategic partners witnessed the unveiling of the "Darwin Statue", a work by renowned artist Mr. Yuan Xikun.

Born in June 1944 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, Mr. Yuan Xikun, who is originally from Guizhou, is a famous artist who holds many positions and honors, such as member of the Standing Committee of the 11th and 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the first United Nations-awarded Master of Environmental Art, winner of the National May 1st Labor Medal, director of the Jintai Art Museum in Beijing, honorary president of the China Collectors' Association, researcher of the China Academy of Arts, and honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. He has not only made remarkable achievements in the field of sculpture, but also created ink portraits for 152 international dignitaries and celebrities, and is known as the "Ambassador of Portrait Diplomacy". Mr. Yuan's artistic career has been rich and varied, from oil painting, ink portraiture to sculpture and calligraphy, and his works have attracted attention on the international art stage for their aesthetic value, artistic taste and social influence. In addition, he is also a practitioner of environmental protection, living a low-carbon lifestyle for decades, actively participating in international cultural and artistic exchanges, and fully supporting the cause of environmental protection.

The statue of Charles Darwin created by Mr. Yuan Xikun is the fourth statue of Darwin he has donated to the Minde Hui Min Middle School in Kunming, Yunnan, the Darwin Scientific Research Station in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and the Province of Colonia, Uruguay. Charles Robert Darwin (1809-1882) was a famous British naturalist, biologist and one of the founders of modern evolutionary theory. His proposed doctrine of natural selection revolutionized human understanding of the evolution of life and the origin of species, and became a cornerstone of biology and related fields.
